Both of these musicians are all set to entertain the audience in the first week of the New Year.
The musical feast does not end with Christy Moore. The fourth week of January in the Grand Canal Theater welcomes the Diva star of UK, Alexandra Burke. She has been outstanding with her four hit single albums that made her a huge star and brought a lot of fame to her in and around UK. Many of her songs made to Top first position in the chart-busters of UK. She is a sensation in the latest music industry. Alexandra competes with all the major musicians and had been successful in dominating everybody. Alexandra recent release “Red One” has been the latest hit album that made her attract all the people not only from UK but from many from Europe.
Last but not least, January ends with the Transatlantic session which is presented by Celtic connections. The Transatlantic session has been applauded by audience from the very beginning. In the New Year 2011, The Grand Canal Theater has been the stage for the live performance of Transatlantic session featuring Aly Bain who is known as the Shetland fiddle icon and Jerry Douglas as the joint music directors. They are accompanied by the very talented Paul Brady and Allison Moorer. The guitarist Kenny Greenberg is accompanied with his wife Ashley Cleveland who is a triple Grammy winner. The vocal and the multi-instrument artists include Julie Fowlis, Tim O’ Brien, Dirk Powell and many more talented artists.
